Question 1

What locations can I use?

Accepted Answer

Anywhere in the world. Search for a city, a neighborhood, a single street, an address, a landmark, or paste coordinates directly. The map is drawn from OpenStreetMap, so anything mapped there can be printed.

Question 2

Can I customize the colors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose one of six styles, then adjust the background, road colour, water colour and marker colour independently — including fully custom colours with the colour picker.

Question 3

Can I add a date?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The date line is optional and free-form, so you can write it however you like — 14 June 2019, 06.14.19 or Midsummer 2019.

Question 4

Can I add a personal message?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add a short message under the subtitle. It is typeset in italic serif and wraps automatically to keep the composition balanced.

Question 5

What size can I print?

Accepted Answer

Seven formats are available: 2:3, 3:4, 4:5 and 1:1, a 3:2 landscape, plus A4 and A3 portrait. Each exports at roughly 300 DPI for its physical size.

Question 6

Can I download my map?

Accepted Answer

Yes, immediately and without an account. You get a high-resolution PNG, and a single-page PDF if you prefer to send it straight to a print shop.

Question 7

Can I use the map for printing?

Accepted Answer

That is exactly what it is made for. The export is re-rendered from the original map geometry at print resolution — it is not a screenshot of the preview.

Question 8

Can I create a map for someone else?

Accepted Answer

Of course. Many maps here are gifts. Use the share link to send a preview before you print, so the surprise stays intact.

Good to know.
